Description 8 Mukhi Rudraksha The 8 Mukhi Rudraksha is a seed from the Elaeocarpus ganitrus plant found in Nepal. This natural seed features eight naturally occurring grooves that run from its top to bottom. Its average size ranges between 16mm and 22mm while having a hard brown color characteristic of Nepal-based Rudrakshas as opposed to Indonesia-based Rudrakshas. They are larger and harder than the latter. This Rudraksha type is said to be linked with Lord Ganesha (god of removal of obstacles and creator of new beginnings) as well as the eight Vasus according to Hindu writings and the Shiva Purana. In Vedic astrology, it symbolizes the North node planet Rahu, known for ambition, change, and materialism. It is mentioned in the Rudraksha Jabala Upanishad under situations requiring concentration or clearance of impediments. They are worn as pendants made from gold or silver. Also, they can be used when praying using malas made up of 108 beads. These Rudrakshas can be worn by individuals in particular astrological periods, especially those related to the Rahu as determined by Vedic astrologers. Each Rudraksha must have eight groove lines to confirm its genuineness. Authenticity Test for Rudraksha Tree beads involves verifying the number of grooves on an 8 Mukhi bead with the help of a magnifying glass. Those beads failing to pass the test are not shipped. Every order comes with an authentic certificate. Specifications — Origin: Nepal. Diameter: 16 – 22 mm. Material: Elaeocarpus ganitrus. Mukhis: 8. Color: Brown. Weight: 2 – 5 grams.
